He touches on some of his philosophy and some technique. This really helped out my wrestling in terms of awareness about my mistakes.

Brent Metcalf

Out of all of the wrestlers currently wrestling in the US, this guy is my favorite. Brent Metcalf has an explosive and aggressive style that I really admire. He is ultra competitive and a hard worker (a dangerous combination).

There is nothing to overly exciting here. It’s just good clean drilling. Sammie Henson gets a two on one and then works off of there. It helps to see what kind of stuff guys at this level are working on.

Of course this is freestyle, but it does show how quick these guys move and react and gives you something to think about. Personally, I found it really great for getting used to how to react and think on the mat.

Even after high-school he had a great career in Cornell, winning a national NCAA title. Here he is with Ricky LaForge, who is also a great wrestler.

Ricky LaForge has an awesome defense on the mat. He is almost untouchable.
